Pega Training

Learn Pega by building real applications

Instructor-led, hands-on Pega Infinity training that takes you from the operating model to enterprise-grade case design — on a real environment, with code reviews and recordings included.

Training that mirrors the work, not a slide deck

Most Pega courses front-load theory and leave you to figure out the hard parts alone — the moment a data page will not refresh, the connector that throws a status-fail you cannot explain, or the case that resolves a stage too early. Our training is built the other way around. From the first session you are inside a real Pega Infinity environment, building a working application and learning the platform the way you will actually use it on a project.

Every concept is taught through a concrete problem. You will model a case lifecycle and then deliberately break a stage transition so you understand exactly how Pega evaluates entry and exit conditions. You will wire up a Connect-REST integration, watch it fail in Tracer, and learn to read the status message instead of guessing. You will look at a low Guardrails score and refactor your way back to compliance. That is the difference between memorizing where a button is and genuinely understanding the platform.

The result is durable competence. By the end of a track you can open Dev Studio on an unfamiliar application and reason about how it is put together — which is exactly what employers, and the CSA, CSSA, and LSA exams, are really testing for.

What the curriculum covers

A complete path across the disciplines a capable Pega architect is expected to know. We tailor the depth and pace to your track.

Application & Case Design

  • Case lifecycle: stages, processes, steps
  • Stage transitions, wait shapes, parallel work
  • SLAs, goals, deadlines, and escalation

Data Model & Data Pages

  • Class structure, properties, and inheritance
  • Data pages: scope, sourcing, and refresh
  • Keyed access and parameterized pages

Business Logic & Decisioning

  • When rules, decision tables, decision trees
  • Declarative expressions and data transforms
  • Validate, edit, and constraint rules

Integrations

  • Connect-REST and Connect-SOAP
  • Authentication profiles and OAuth 2.0
  • Error handling, retries, and resilience

Security

  • Access groups, roles, and privileges
  • Attribute-based access control (ABAC)
  • SSO with SAML and OAuth 2.0

Background Processing

  • Queue processors and async work
  • Job schedulers (the modern Agents)
  • Diagnosing stuck and broken items

Performance & Guardrails

  • Guardrails score and best practices
  • PAL, DB Trace, and Tracer
  • Caching and node-level tuning

DevOps & CI/CD

  • Branches, rulesets, and merges
  • Deployment Manager pipelines
  • Automated testing and Guardrail gates

Constellation & UX

  • App Studio vs Dev Studio
  • Views, templates, and the Constellation DX
  • Designing for low-code maintainability

How training works

  1. 1

    Baseline & track selection

We assess your current level and goal, then place you on the foundations or advanced track with a realistic schedule.

  2. 2

    Live, hands-on sessions

Each session pairs a focused concept with a build exercise on a real environment, recorded for later review.

  3. 3

    Labs & code review

You complete lab exercises between sessions and receive written feedback against Pega best practices.

  4. 4

    Checkpoints

Regular checkpoints confirm you can apply what you learned before moving on — no skipping ahead on shaky foundations.

Who it is for

Career switchers moving into Pega from another stack who want a structured, honest path to genuine competence rather than a certificate they cannot back up.

Working developers who hold CSA and want to deepen toward CSSA or LSA-level design, integration, and performance skills.

Teams adopting Pega or levelling up an existing practice, who need everyone speaking the same architectural language quickly.

If you want someone to sit your interviews or take your assessments for you, we are not that service — and we will say so plainly. We help you become the kind of developer who does not need that.

Training FAQs

Do I need prior Pega experience to start?

No. We offer a foundations track for newcomers that starts with the Pega operating model, App Studio, and case design, and an advanced track for developers who already hold CSA and want to move toward CSSA or LSA-level skills.

Will I get access to a real Pega environment?

Yes. Every session is hands-on. You practice on a real Pega Infinity environment so you build muscle memory in the actual tooling — Dev Studio, App Studio, Tracer, and the landing pages you will use on the job.

Are the sessions live or recorded?

Sessions are delivered live with screen-sharing so you can ask questions in the moment, and every session is recorded so you can review it later. You also get lab exercises and written feedback on your work.

Can you train my whole team?

Yes. We run private cohorts mapped to your delivery roadmap and internal standards, which is the fastest way to get a group of developers productive on a shared Pega application.
